Meet the Team
We are Matt and Savanna Owens- the husband and wife team behind Evergreen Designs. We each hold an Associates Degree in Drafting and Design and together have 15 years of professional experience in various disciplines of the design industry.
We first met in 2008 as classmates in high school drafting class. We eventually married and decided to build our first home together. After some time (and kids), we found ourselves having outgrown our build but with the desire to stay in the house we had built and loved. We ultimately decided to undertake our own design and renovation project with an addition to our house that has now become our “forever” home built specifically with our family in mind.
Our personal experience with design and renovating is where the business side of Evergreen Designs really took off. After designing our addition, we began taking on design jobs for friends and family mostly as a hobby, but the seed of Evergreen had officially been planted and continued to grow.
Our goal has never been to have a steady stream of house plans churned out- instead, we have focused on creating intentional, efficient, and creative plans based on each families’ unique needs in a way that helps remove some of the barriers to building and renovating that many people find complex and overwhelming.
God has had his hand in this business each step of the way- from our first days in high school drafting class to now fostering the love of design our own kids have started to show in our process. Our hope is that He continues to use us to help others in this small way with each home or business we have the chance to be a part of.
What We Do
SAVANNA OWENS
Savanna’s primary focus within Evergreen Design is ensuring custom functionality. She works to guide clients into a plan that is realistic and feasible while bringing their vision to life. She does this by working alongside clients to craft plans from notes, sketches, and inspiration photos and works to ensure the interior layout of their home or business flows and feels balanced in a way that is both appealing and functional.
MATT OWENS
Within Evergreen Design, Matt has a focus on exterior design while considering the framing and structural components of the overall design. He maintains relationships with contractors and builders to ensure a smooth process for clients and relays information regarding the plan on behalf of the clients to guide the process in an effective way.
